Resolving Intrinsic Modulation Spectral Lines from Electro-Optic Modulation Spectra Based on Boosted Iterative Deconvolution

Optical spectrum analysis is the most direct and effective method for characterizing electro-optic modulation spectra. According to Rayleigh criterion, best resolution of an optical limited by point spread function analyzer (OSA) relative intensity closely spaced spectral lines. In this paper, we propose a boosted iterative deconvolution (BID) resolve intrinsic lines from measured carrier our scheme, considered convolution δ-function spectrum, BID enables fast accurate extraction spectrum. The proof-of-concept experiment demonstrates that can improve OSA 10–30 p.m. at different intensities, with 10 in iso-intensity case wavelength errors less than 2 p.m., which largely improves measurement accuracy
